And Can I just say Ragnars love for Athelstan is something different lol. Like his whole being, his life, his mind and his body is Athelstan.

I knew when they first met that Ragnar and him would become good friends but I didn’t know their bond would be this deep. Sometimes I can’t tell if Ragnar is In Love or just really sees him as a best friend and a brother😂. But no, he truly felt Athelstan was the only person he could trust even out of his own family and long time friends, so I understand.

It really pisses me off that he’s gone. I feel like his death was so pointless (at the same time maybe it wasn’t idk) . It just seemed out of nowhere and out of place. I really respected the dynamic between them. Their differences balanced them out.

Anyone else feel that the producers focused too much on all the “external factors” of the show such as special effects for example in the battles. They also made me feel as if they were forcing every episode to have a “special meaning” with all these big speeches by random characters such as that russian king. The producers should of let the writers do their job and stick with the storyline and write actual normal episodes and then leave all the reminiscing to the final episode. Did they not listen to the public when we all said that we wanted them to show all the greats such as ragnar and largertha in odins hall at the end??

Some other ridiculous things in this season: bjorn “buried” with the horse and his death, king harlds death (how was it possible for him to be alone in the forest?), hvisterk not killing ivar like we all thought he would , hvisterks emotion towards ivars death was unrealistic especially when ivar burned his girlfriend alive and hvisterk barely shed a tear for bjorns death, also ivar died in dublin not russia, king alfred also was never a warrior. Gunhilds death was also cringe 😬

I knew he was still alive. And I knew he was with the natives.
