The Battle of London is a military engagement. It depicts the confrontation between the Vikings led by King Canute and the Saxons led by King Edmund II. The event takes place in Season 1 Episode 4, The Bridge, of Vikings: Valhalla.

Aftermath[]

The battle is a decisive Viking victory. Despite achieving victory, Leif and Liv are heartbroken over the deaths of their friends, Njal, Skarde, and Tomas.

In History[]

A skaldic poem describes the Bridge of London's destruction in 1014 by Olaf II Haraldsson. The bridge is also mentioned in 1016 when chroniclers mention it during King Cnut's war against King Edmund II.
