Dianne Doan (born September 8, 1990) is a Canadian actress who held roles in Disney's The Secret Saturdays and ABC's Once Upon a Time. She portrayed Yidu on History's drama series Vikings.


Biography[]

Doan was born and raised in Abbotsford, British Columbia. Her parents are of Vietnamese descent. One of her grandmothers is half Chinese, making Doan one-eight Chinese as well. She first developed an interest in acting in Grade 9 when she took drama classes as an elective. She started technical training in dance at age ten.

As a young adult she performed as a dancer in the Opening Ceremonies for the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver. She worked as a back-up dancer for Michael Bublé. Her big break as an actress came when she was cast in the Disney Channel made-for-TV movie Descendants as Lonnie.
