Eyvind was an important warrior in Kattegat who decided to travel and settle his family in a new land.
When Floki returns to Kattegat with tales of his fabulous new land , Eyvind decides to go with Floki and the other recruited settlers . Eyvind and the settlers were betrayed by Guthrum. They are then confronted by Lagertha who lets them leave because she see's no point in keeping these warriors here against their will. When they reached the new land, they discover that it is not as fertile as Floki had told them. Eyvind and the settlers begin creating a settlement near the hot springs in their new land. Floki proposes a co-operative democratic approach, but Eyvind doesn't trust him and accuses Floki of wanting to be king. After the death of his son Bul and the death of Thorgrim, Floki offers himself as a sacrifice which Eyvind and his family votes in favour of, but his son Helgi the Lean gives a deciding vote against, much to Eyvind's disapproval. Eyvind is invited to a meeting in Kjetill Flatnose's house where he listens to Floki's plea and agrees to make peace with Kjetill and his family. When Thorunn and her unborn child are murdered by Asbjorn, Eyvind an his entire family are banished from Flokalundur.
