Flokalundur is a village in Iceland founded by Floki and briefly named after him when he brought settlers from Kattegat to live here, believing the island was the gateway to Asgard.
In Vikings[]
The settlement is near the hot springs. For the House of Björnsson, they saw it as a blessing, despite how barren the land was, but for the House of Evyindsson, they believed to have been tricked into landing in a wasteland where crops would diminish. There was a massive feud between the two families over Floki's vision. After the massacre of House of Evyindsson and the departure of Floki, Kjetill presumably became leader of the settlement.
Ubbe, Torvi, and a group of followers journey to Flokalundur, led by Kjetill. Ubbe and Torvi are interested in settling new lands and want to meet the mysterious wanderer known as Othere. Upon arriving at the settlement, it is clear that the people have weathered Iceland's harsh conditions pretty well, and the community appears to be thriving and growing. Torvi survives a difficult birth, and has her son, which Ubbe names Ragnar, after his father.
