Jarl Gorm (Old Norse: Gormr) is one of the many Vikings to join King Canute's army. He is a pagan who dislikes Christians.

Biography

Season 1

At the massive gathering of Viking warriors who plan to seek revenge for the St. Brice's Day Massacre, Jarl Gorm is one of the pagans who says he will not fight with Christian Vikings. Prince Harald reminds him that Harald spent every summer of his childhood with Jarl Gorm's family and that Gorm has loved him like a son, despite the fact that Harald is a Christian. This convinces Gorm to put aside his hatred of Christian Vikings to join King Canute's campaign.

Gorm and his son Arne are assigned to Leif Eriksson's ship on the journey to England. Gorm tells Leif that he knew his father. He describes him as a "brave seaman and a strong believer."
