King Hemming is a Danish king and a leader of the Black Dane confederation.
Biography[]
Season 5[]
Angantyr, Hemming and Frodo arrive at the Arle River and are spotted by saxon scouts. King Alfred is later informed by his scouts that another huge viking army arrived at the coast. Alfred sends Ubbe and Torvi to negotiate with them to avoid another battle.
Ubbe and Torvi arrive at the Arle River with forces of King Alfred, leaded by Aldwin. Ubbe and Torvi decide to enter the kings camp without the saxon forces. Aldwin distrusts Ubbe and thinks he will join the viking army in a war against Alfred. Ubbe tells Aldwin to trust him like Afred does.
Ubbe later finds out that his very famous, as son of Ragnar Lothbrok. The Viking army shout "Ubbe" as he and Torvi enter there camp.
Ubbe tells the three kings that don't have to invade Wessex as they could settle with their army in the lands of East Angila to farm and make Ragnar's dream finally reality. Angantyr and Hemming agree to the terms, but Frodo disagrees and is challenged by Ubbe in a single combat.
If Ubbe wins the duel against Frodo the viking army will start farming in East Angila, but if Frodo defeats and kills Ubbe his and the other two Kings will invade Wessex. Ubbe wins the single combat duel against Frodo by stabbing him in the back.
Later King Angantyr and Hemming are seen arriving in the lands of East Angila. They both seem happy to settle and Farm, all to make Ragnar's dream finally come to live.
Season 6[]
Its mentioned by King Harald that the vikings settlement still excites and trades with Kattegat from time to time.

- King Hemming is loosely based on the Danish warlord Hemming of Denmark, who was active as a Viking in northern Frankia.
- Actor Erik Madsen previously played a low ranking member of the Great Heathen Army in The Last Kingdom.
