Kris Holden-Ried (born August 1, 1973) is a Canadian actor and an athlete. He portrayed Eyvind and Dom on History's drama series Vikings.

Biography[]

Holden-Ried was raised in a farm town northeast of Toronto. He studied at Montreal's Concordia University School of Business, where he studied international commerce. While continuing his education, Holden-Ried also competed in sports. He became a member of the Canadian National Pentathlon Team. He won silver medals from both the Pan American and Pan Pacific Pentathlon Championships for riding and fencing.

At his first audition he landed the leading role in the drama Young Ivanhoe. He has trained with Uta Hagen's Master Class Scene Study, with Janine Manatis of the Actor's Studio New York, and the National Film Acting School. He is known for his roles in Underworld: Awakening, K-19: The Widowmaker, Lost Girl, and Gossip.

Holden-Ried enjoys traveling and being outdoors. His hobbies and interests include sailing, scuba diving, surfing, and yoga. He currently lives in Toronto with his son and Black Labrador.
