Lenn Kudrjawizki (born October 10, 1975) is a German-Russian actor and musician. He portrayed Prince Dir in History's drama series Vikings.

Biography[]

Kudrjawizki moved with his parents from Leningrad, now Saint Petersburg, to East Berlin at two months old. His father worked as a scientist and his mother worked as an interpreter. He auditioned with the Leningrad State Ballet at age four. At age five he began playing the violin, and at the age of six he was on stage with the Leningrad State Ballet. He attended an arts high school where he received acting, singing, and violin lessons. In Dresden he continued studying violin and graduated with a Master of Arts in Music in 203.

In 1994, Kudrjawizki made his TV debut in the role of Wladimir in Katrin and Wladimir. In 2001 he played the lead role in Kiki and Tiger, which earned him a nomination for the Förderpreis Deutscher Film 2002.

Kudrjawizki made his directorial debut in 2007 with the short film Today Is My Day. His second directorial work, the short film Thank You, Mr. President, toured international film festivals and won the renowned award Murnau Short Film Award 2010. In 2014, he filmed his third short film Business As Usual - The Prophet Flies With. This film has been shown at festivals worldwide and received the Human Rights Award from Amnesty International.

He has continued to be active in music, releasing albums. His company, Legrain Productions, together with Felix Neumann and Stefan Lohmann, founded The Berlin Show Orchestra, the first sustainable orchestra, and is committed to reducing CO2 emissions through the sustainability concept.

He is a member of the Bundesverband Schauspiel (BFFS) and the German Film Academy.
