Biography
Season 6
Othere landed in Iceland after the disappearance of Floki. He spoke of the Golden Land he found during a voyage that almost cost him his life. He tells tales of a lush and verdant land to the west. It excites the imaginations of Kjetil, Ubbe, and Torvi. He was originally an Anglo-Saxon monk named Athelstan who went on missionary expeditions and wound up killing a Viking and taking his name.
Trivia
- He is based off of Bjarni Herjólfsson who was a Norse-Icelandic explorer who is believed to be the first known European discoverer of mainland America, which he sighted in 986 AD.
