Vigrid was a blacksmith in Kattegat.
Biography
Season 5
As a blacksmith, Vigrid helps with the preparations and the defense of Kattegat for King Ivar. When Bjorn and his army take control of Kattegat, Vigrid smuggles Ivar out of Scandinavia.
Season 6
Vigrid is among the mercenaries traveling along the Silk Road with Ivar. When their group is attacked by Ganbaatar and the Rus, Vigrid and Ivar are the only two left alive. They are brought to Kiev, where they are present to Prince Oleg.
Prince Oleg doesn't believe that Ivar is actually a king, so he tortures Vigrid in an attempt to get information. Vigrid is executed by Oleg's soldiers by having his arms ripped off while tied to a tree.
